Jess has now been left with a series of burns and permanent damage to her arm.
Speaking to Women’s Health, dermatologist and assistant professor of dermatology at NYU Marie Leger said:
“I’ve had patients before who try to do this,” she says. “You have to be really careful. A lot of these techniques can lead to scarring and burns.”
Leger points out that a number of tips, tricks and products have been put on the market online, but that it is not safe to remove your tattoo at home.
