They're the trusty handbag staple that we couldn't live without, unfortunately, we never have them on us. It's as if Mother Nature doesn't come around often enough for us to remember to PACK THE BLOODY TAMPONS (no pun intended). Turns out tampons and pads are not the be all and end all, there are alternatives you can use to keep the crimson wave at bay.   via GIPHY The Moon Cup is a reusable silicone menstrual cup that boasts advantages not just for you but for the environment. Honestly, these things are seriously impressive. They hold 3 times more than a regular tampon and you only need the ONE cup, they last for years and just think of the cash money you'll save! Did you know that we all go through around 11,000 disposable sanitary products in a lifetime? That's enough to make us rethink EVERYTHING. They only see the light of day one week out of every month and for good reason, well period pants have been given a new lease of life thanks to THINX, a company set up by twin sisters Miki and Radha in New York.   Finally we 100% DO NOT recommend this, but a doctor made a slightly odd claim a few weeks ago about a female hygiene product to seal your vagina. We're pretty sure it's a bonkers idea, but you can read about it here. Nope, period   via GIPHY
