Now, we are going to continue our focus on health by studying a wide range of topics relating to sex and sexual health.

Last week, we went under the covers to talk about seven mistakes you might be making in the bedroom, while this week, we’re talking all about confidence boosters to help you feel sexy.

There’s days when even the best of us are feeling a bit insecure when it comes to body confidence and getting naked in front of someone else.

It’s time to take control though and start feeling sexy again with some of these quick and easy tips.

Dress up

It’s amazing how much confidence nice underwear, a pair of heels and your favourite dress or outfit can give you. Dump the pjs or tracksuit and treat yourself to an evening of pampering before donning the glad rags – it’ll make a world of difference and have you feeling like a sex goddess.

De-clutter

Your bedroom is where all the action happens and if it’s cluttered and messy, you’re not going to relax and get into the swing of things properly.

Pick a day to have a big tidy up: take out all the clutter, put away your clothes and anything that doesn’t belong there, get rid of it. It’s all about setting the scene and dirty laundry certainly won’t help that!

Birthday suit

It might sound strange, but walking around your house naked as often as you can will help to boost your confidence. Obviously, it may be quite hard if you’re house-sharing, but even take some time in your bedroom to have a wander in the buff.

Fancy something new?

Another way of giving your sexual confidence a boost is suggesting something new for you and your partner to try out together. Be it talking dirty or acting out one of your fantasises, you’ll be surprised how quickly something new that you are both testing out together will give you confidence under the covers.

De-stress

Stress can have a big impact on your libido. If you are feeling stressed out at the end of the day, run a hot bath, pour yourself a glass of wine and ask your partner to give you a massage. You’ll be surprised how quickly relaxation time can turn into sexy time.

Getting a good look at what’s going on between the sheets can be another major turn-on and a boost to your confidence. Pop a few strategically placed mirrors around the bedroom and then have fun trying out different positions with a good view of all the action in the mirror.

Lighting 

If you’re still not feeling on top of the world and would rather hide under the covers than frolic on top of them, consider the lighting in your room. Low lighting and candles can be a great help to get you in the mood and bring it from being a regular night in the pjs to a romantic and sexy encounter.

Praise

This is one for all the other halves out there – be sure to praise your partner between the sheets. If they are doing something you love, let them know about it. Their confidence will shoot up immediately and, let’s be honest, it’s always nice to hear it in return.
