This is the non-fitness benefit to exercising on the regular

Just another reason to get off the couch.

It can be very hard to get motivated to work out but in the end we know it can only be a good thing to actually get up and move.

So far there are already countless benefits to working out, from keeping physically fit and healthy to helping to keep your mental health in tact too. It’s been known to reduce anxiety and to aid plenty of other illnesses.

But a new study has found that it can also have a huge benefit to boosting your memory.

While this is not a brand new finding, a more recent study has backed this theory up making it even stronger.

According to CTV, a new UK study has found that exercising after learning something makes it easier to remember.

Ten healthy participants were given lists of words to learn and recall either after or before 30 minutes of moderate intensity cycling, or before or after a period of rest which involved quiet, seated reading.

Those who exercised after learning the words were the best when it came to remembering them.

Those who exercised before being given the words to memorise were also better as recalling them, although not as stronger as those who worked out after.

Either way, exercise around studying a list of works helped to remember then better than if no exercise took place at all.

If you have an exam coming up or are expected to remember something important in your next meeting, make sure to keep fit.
