10 Things… Her.ie Loved This Week

HELLO weekend! We're taking a look back the things that have made Her.ie happy over the past few days. Our highlights this week include... _______________________________________________ Clubbing with Her This week the entire Her.ie writers desk headed down to Temple Bar to join JP and Sarah Jane of Clubbercise for a taster class. Basically, it's a fitness class in a darkened studio with glowsticks and disco lights, where we followed routines to tunes from the 90s to today's chart. One hour left us absolutely shattered - but we LOVED it and cannot wait to go back. More details on site very soon! Good to Glow Seeing as summer is officially here (even if the weather doesn't reflect it) we're all about getting a bronzed glow. Cathy is in debt to the lovely ladies at Cocoa Brown for a new supply of tan. Gentle Bronze is the way forward. Get the Gloss Michelle gets excited every month when the latest Glossybox arrives on the desk. Through this monthly delivery of surprise beauty treats she's discovered quite a few new must-have products. This month it's the Zerreau Beauty Towel Off Shampoo Foam. Festival Fit Summer time is fun time for Marie, as festival season kicks off in earnest in the next few weeks. There is no better feeling that the freedom of three days in the woods listening to some great tunes, even if you have to be serenaded to sleep by a drunk reveller singing Wonderwall for the fourth time. Vodafone Centre Stage surprised us with some 90s sweets to celebrate the beginning of another year of comedy and music - it's fair to say we got a bit excited about the Push Pops!

Feeling Like A Princess

This week Liz got swept up in the magic of a full ballgown, and treated herself to a dress for Chi Chi London ahead of a weekend of fun this June. From the vibrant teal, to the off-shoulder design and careful embroidery, it’s fair to say she’s completely in love. Now just to find a matching bag and shoes… because a dress this beautiful deserves the full treatment!

Trunk Show

This week Rebecca and Michelle got to head along to Dublin Zoo. As well as finding out all about their favourite animal and see the super cute elephant calves, they got to try the new zoo pack 'Dublin Zoo Friends' which are delicious (seriously, delicious) jellies by The Natural Confectionery Company.

I wish I was a little bit taller... 

Mary was wishing she was a little bit taller as she tried to be a baller with the Irish Select Women's Basketball team this week. She headed out training with them in UCD this week ahead of their trip to Luxembourg and though she fancies herself as another Michael Jordan, we think she might need to grow a few inches for that to happen!

Such a Scandal... Cathy recently discovered Scandal, binge-watched, and is now at that stage where she's saving the last few episodes as she doesn't want it to end. If you're oblivious to Olivia Pope and her badass ways, you need to sort that out. STAT. It's that good, honest.

Baking Buddies

Liz and Rebecca headed into the kitchen this week to bake up a batch of Red Velvet Cupcakes. As well as producing 12 tasty  cupcakes (which are all gone already), they had lots of fun... and made quite a mess!

Cocktail Hour

Our pals at Lidl Ireland sent us a fab juicer this week, which now has pride of place in the Her.ie kitchen. We're going to be healthy from Monday to Thursday, but come Friday evening this baby will be used for cocktail hour.
