From now until Christmas Day we'll be bringing you our favourite festive films. While you will catch some of them on television, there are others you'll have to work a bit harder to find although we guarantee they are all worth the effort.

Bridget Jones’ Diary (2001)

After years of being single and singing All By Myself, Bridget Jones (Renée Zellweger) counts her lucky stars when she bags herself a man. But when another comes along and complicates matters, she doesn’t know quite what to do or who to choose. Colin Firth and Hugh Grant also star.

Best Moment: The unveiling of the giant knickers. Let’s face it, we’ve all been there!

Interesting Fact: Shirley Henderson, who plays Jude in this flick, also plays Moaning Myrtle in the Harry Potter films during which she cries a lot too.
