More and more people are opting for a few city breaks throughout the year and we can see why. It’s the perfect way to recharge, get a bit of culture and of course, spend time with your nearest and dearest.

We’ve teamed up with Click&Go to give one lucky reader the chance to win a 3-night break for 2. All you have to do is fill out the form below.

In the meantime, we have lined up 6 of the best places to go on a city break in 2017. So, what are you waiting for? Ring your bestie, grab your passport and get booking.

Krakow

Krakow has everything you could possibly want for a quick weekend away with the girls. Legend has it that the city was founded after a dragon was defeated and somehow that sense of magic still lingers in the streets today.

The Royal Wawel Castle is the major landmark, and the Old Town contains lots of beautiful churches and museums. Wieliczka Salt Mine is a short distance away as is Auschwitz-Birkenau which are both definitely worth a visit.

Prague

The beautiful capital of the Czech-Republic should definitely be at the top of your travel bucket list for 2017. Prague has a fantastic mix of nightlife, museums, galleries and historic buildings.

No trip to Prague is complete without a trip to the John Lennon Wall and of course ‘Love Lock Bridge’ which is just around the corner. Make sure you eat a traditional trdelník pastry while you’re there too, trust us you won’t regret it.

Barcelona

Say hola to one of the most exciting cities in Europe. Barcelona is a great bustling city to spend a weekend in. Take a stroll down Las Ramblas in the sunshine before visiting iconic buildings like the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia and La Pedrera. Park Güell is another must-see. Any football fans among you will surely want to visit Camp Nou as well.

Lisbon

Escape our dreary weather and head to sunny Lisbon for a weekend break with a difference. Try to catch a Fado show while you’re there. These usually take place in restaurants where you can grab some traditional grub while watching authentic Portuguese dancers and musicians. Bairro Alto is also a fab neighbourhood to take a stroll around during the evening. P.S make sure you enjoy at least one sunset at St.George’s castle during your stay.

Rome

It’s time to eat your weight in gelato and pizza! Roma is the perfect spot for a foodie weekend away and you will be completely spoilt for choice in the Italian capital. Head to Piazza Navona for a great selection of restaurants or Campo di Fiore if you’re in need of a nightcap.

While you’re in the city you have to visit all of the classics like The Colosseum, The Spanish Steps and of course the Trevi Fountain.

Budapest

Budapest has become a massively popular holiday destination in the last few years and it is not hard to see why. It’s got great food, tonnes of culture and great nightlife to boot. Buda Castle, St.Stephen’s Basilica and Szechenyi Baths and pool should be at the top of your list.
