We know that we’ve just gotten over Christmas but we’re already looking forward to our next chocolate fix, and honestly? We think this is one of the best ways to get excited about Easter. Have you heard about Dublin’s Big Egg Hunt?
The Big Egg Hunt is the largest Easter egg hunt to ever happen in Ireland. Presented by Lily O’Brien’s chocolates, over 100 fibre glass eggs will be hidden around Dublin from Tuesday 12 February, for 40 days and 40 nights. Each of these eggs will be decorated by a host of well-known artists and celebrities.
You could find eggs decorated by Guggi, Graham Knuttel, John Rocha, Rick O’Shea, Diarmuid Gavin, Derry Clarke, The Strypes and Joe Duffy.

The kicker is that the locations of these arty eggs won’t be revealed. If you want to have a gawk at them, you’ll have to have a search around the city and see if you can uncover them.
For added incentive, finding the eggs could win you a deadly prize. For example, part of the massive treasure hunt is to find 20 eggs. Each of the eggs has a code on it which will allow you to enter a draw for a grand family prize consisting of some diamond earrings, a chocolate factory visit and a year’s supply of chocolate from Lily O’Briens. Awesome or what?
Do you want even more good news? It’s all in add of the wonderful Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation. So not only will you be having some fun and feeding your chocolate habit, you’ll also be helping out an amazing children’s charity.
