We all know that the most difficult part of dieting can be cutting out those sweet treats like cake and desserts but fear not, Dr. Pierre Dukan is here to help.

The inventor of the Dukan Diet, a strict low-carb, protein-based diet favourited by the likes of Jennifer Aniston and Penelope Cruz, has released a book of desserts for those who are finding dieting without the sweets too difficult.

The book, The Dukan Diet Desserts and Patisseries, which is filled entirely with recipes for desserts, was devised in response to the dieters who fell off the wagon without their sweet fix, according to the Irish Independent.

Dr. Dukan commented: “A lot of people are fond of sweet things, and they asked me to find desserts and patisseries they could eat without putting on weight. He continued: "By being strict with ingredients, you can bake a lot of things that are still very interesting.”

The recipes in the book are all low-calorie and low-fat. Instead of using sugar and butter, the sweet fanatic is urged to use fat-free fromage frais, skimmed milk and natural sweeteners. Many recipes contain oat bran, which makes you feel fuller.
