A new Facebook feature might actually save your life

There’s a new Facebook messaging bot that now makes it easier to cope in an emergency.

As reported by Tech Crunch, the 911bot was developed at the Disrupt Hackathon in New York and intends to keep users calm and informed during emergency circumstances. The messenger chat bot allows you to report emergencies to authorities with a few clicks. As you report, it offers options to send information and media and directions on how to handle the situation. The bot is capable of pulling your location and automatically calls the nearest services. More impressively, though, it will automatically send information about the incident (photos and videos) that authorities can respond to and advise users on how to act. The 911bot can also provide information on how to administer CPR.
