Maeve Binchy is known for her fantastic story-telling and engaging writing style but it seems that even she has outdone herself with her final novel.
A Week in Winter, which was released posthumously last month, is on track to be her most successful Christmas book.

Author Binchy passed away last July aged 72.
Publishers Orion have revealed that the sales are up almost half on the late novelist’s last release, Minding Frankie.
Spokeswoman Louise Page told the Irish Independent: “Sales of A Week in Winter are 47 per cent up on Maeve’s last novel published in 2010, and Orion had their biggest ever first week sales at Amazon for a novel by her.”

A Week in Winter is the author's final book.
The novel is set in the west of Ireland and focuses on the lives of those who work and stay at a country house hotel.
