There were rumours that she would star in the hotly-anticipated sequel of Anchorman but now it has been confirmed that Kristin Wiig will be in it!
Director Adam McKay announced the news on Twitter last night. He wrote: “Just found out Kristen Wiig officially on board for Anchorman 2. Cannonball!”
Wiig has now been confirmed for the Anchorman sequel.
According to reports the Bridesmaids star will be playing Brick Tamland’s (Steve Carell) love interest or wife in the comedy which is due to be released at the end of this year.
Wiig will join Christina Applegate as Veronica Corningstone, Paul Rudd who plays Brian Fantana and of course Will Ferrell who is the legend that is Ron Burgundy for the followup.
Apparently the actress will play the love interest of Brick played by Steve Carell.
Anchorman: The Legend Continues will have to go all out to reach the heights that the original did but we have a feeling that if anyone can do it, this lot can!
