This adorable Irish Mammy is hilariously confused about Facebook tagging

Niamh Maher

There’s a reason why we love our mothers so much.

No matter how old we are, the good oul Irish mammy will always have our back. Whether it’s setting up 17 WhatsApp groups for one dinner or ringing you in the middle of the day to get your Netflix password, they’re one of a kind.

When a Galway student got in touch with us about a peak ‘mammy moment’ we had to share.

Laura Beirne is currently studying abroad in Georgia and, like many other students living away from home, her mother sends care packages filled with the usuals (Cadburys and Tayto).

Well, when Laura’s mum saw an inspirational quote on Facebook that reminded her of her daughter she didn’t just tag.

Behold…

Yep, not content with simply tagging her daughter, the determined mother took a screenshot on her phone, printed it off as a poster sized picture and sent it all the way to America.

Laura told us that her mum is relatively new to Facebook, but we actually like this way of tagging, it’s certainly more personal.

Well done Mrs. Beirne we salute you.
