Adorable kitten born with four ears goes viral
We can't handle the cuteness.
An adorable kitten born with two sets of ears has taken the internet by storm after gathering fans from all over the world on social media.
The four-month-old Russian blue, whose name is Midas, has already gained over 38,000 followers on Instagram since the first picture was uploaded.
Midas was a rescue kitten before being adopted by Canis Dosemeci and her family in Turkey.
Canis rescued her after a friend of the family found a stray cat who gave birth to six kittens in their garden - and, you guessed it, one of the little ones was Midas.
The family also have two golden retrievers, who Midas has fit right in with and loves to cuddle up to.
The kitten's extra ears are reportedly linked to a recessive gene mutation from her parents.
The ears don't help her hear any better but her owner has had Midas checked by a vet who said that her hearing in her main ears is absolutely perfect.
And just when you thought she couldn't get any cuter, Canis has shared an adorable video of the kitten having her belly scratched - showing off a white heart-shaped patch on her tummy.
"She is a very playful cat but very friendly as well,” Canis told The Daily Mail. “She sleeps all day and is awake all night.
“She loves to sleep on my chest or shoulder. She loves to play with yarns, (we have loads of them because of my business), she steals them and hides them somewhere we could never find."
The cat owner is hoping that Midas' popularity will encourage others to adopt pets with deformities or those who might not be 100% "perfect".
And Midas' online popularity only seems to on the rise as people share their love from all over the world.
"Love this baby so much," one person commented.
"Hey little precious one," said another.
"She is a miracle," a third wrote.
