Aldi Left Red-Faced After Olive Oil Packaging Mishap

Pretty crappy.

Aldi have been left a little red-faced after an unfortunate packaging mishap has gotten a lot of attention online.

Fancy font on the packaging of an olive oil range makes the letters PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) look like POO, appearing to read: ‘Extra Virgin Olive Oil Poo’.

Oil

The budget supermarket received a barrage of messages on social media after shoppers spotted the unfortunate looking mishap, however the olive oil is still on the shelves.

The slip comes just days after the chain was forced to remove a range of crackers which appeared to spell out a very inappropriate word instead of “country”.

Country

One customer wrote on Aldi’s Facebook page: “Seriously Aldi, why can’t you spot the seemingly naughty words in your graphic designs – Olive Oil POO. Good product though- I do like Aldi.”

Another commented: “God only knows what their designers will come up with next. They’ll probably need a censorship expert to make sure they are not pedalling rude words on their bananas.”

Aldi replied: “Thanks for posting, and for bringing this to our attention.

“We’ll be sure to pass your feedback onto the relevant department.”
