A survey conducted by dating website Victoria Milan has shown that Irish women are having a lot of orgasms.
So many that our little nation topped the polls for the most orgasms had on average per week.
We came a very impressive third just after France and Belgium, which is a more than respectable score if we’re honest.
The study’s findings show that Irish women are claiming to have 10.64 orgasms every week.
Women in France have said that they enjoy 11.34, and those in Belgium claim that they’re having around 13.86.
Over 8,300 women were included in the study that wanted to make sure that women around Europe were being satisfied adequately in the bedroom.
The website’s founder Sigurd Vedal said that a decent sex life is good for our physical and mental health.
“We all know it takes a little more time, effort and interest in learning what makes a woman reach orgasm.
And our research shows that women are becoming more confident in saying what they want in order to climax.”
We’re not entirely sure if we agree with Sigurd’s comments about female orgasms being “more effort” but if he’s advocating for us to have more of them, who are we to question his methods?
Down the bottom of the pile in terms of orgasm regularity were Finland and Portugal, with women reporting to have four or five orgasms a week.
