Preparing for an exam involves the usual stuff like copious cups of coffee, all-nighters, mild panic and the like.
However, it seems like there's another factor that we may not have previously been taking into account, and that's how you are dressed.
In a study carried out by California State University spotted on Nautilus, it was revealed that dressing more formally can lead to you being able to think in a more abstract way during exams.
They tested 60 undergraduate students and found that those that dressed more sharply actually gave more abstract answers to questions asked.
While this might not always be useful for every type of assessment,(for example you may not need to use these skills in a test where you work with your hands or other detail oriented work), but the tip might come in very handy for thinking outside the box.
So basically, if you have to make a presentation for college work or school, dressing up may help, while assembling an Ikea shelf might be a time for the fat man pants.
