Yeah, we know. Grim.
According to data compiled by Credit Angel, almost one third of women take off their wedding rings before a job interview.
And although this statistic does only include women who are married (unlike the rest of us who are spinsters for life), 29 percent is still a substantial number of women who fear discrimination over their marital status.
The group compiled a list of the ways that women are discriminated against in the work place, essentially ensuring that the "financial game" is rigged against them.
This included the finance industry being dominated by men, women doing 26 hours of unpaid work every week (men on do 16), and 59 percent of employers thinking that women should have to disclose if they're pregnant or not during an interview.
Similarly, 46 percent of employers think it's OK to ask a woman whether she has young children during the recruitment process.
Surely a bit personal, no?
Women are also four times more likely to leave their job due to childcare requirements.
Seemingly it's all stacked against us, lads.
