So there we have it, we now know where to find ‘true love’.
How to find true love? Ladies, just search for a man with a big bulge… in his wallet, because it means he’s saving.
According to a recent survey, a massive 81% of Irish people admit they would rather their ideal partner be a 'saver' than a 'spender', with almost half admitting to being savers themselves.
The survey, carried out by RaboDirect, gives us an insight into just how much Irish people are willing to save, and what exactly they're willing to save on.
It is no surprise that in these recessionary times, 75% admit to haggling for a better price in the last year, with 83% of haggles occurring when purchasing homes and car insurance.
Ryanair won’t like this stat; 29% of participants also admitted to layering up on clothes on a flight to save on baggage charges.

36% let a parent or friend cut their hair.
29% reused their teabags.
34% declined a wedding invitation.
RaboDirect launched their new savings website ScabbyorSmart.ie where people can share their best savings tips – no matter how ‘scabby’ or smart they might be.
