For the last 24 hours our newsfeeds and social network feeds (and there are NO puns intended there) have been packed full of yesterday evening’s big news-horse meat has been detected in 80 per cent of own brand beef burgers on Irish supermarket shelves.
Own-brand burgers one sale in Tesco, Dunnes Stores, Lidl, Aldi and Iceland were all found to contain horse meat and The Food Safety Authority of Ireland will now carry out a major investigation into the findings.
Nobody was hurt. The world will float on alright, right?
