With a simple note, bartender Max made a huge difference.

A bartender in Florida is being praised for taking action after he noticed a woman in his bar was being harassed.

On Twitter, Trinity Allie shared a picture of the message Max Guiterrez wrote on a bill. In it, he asked her to subtly signal if she needed help.

The note read: “If this guy is bothering you, put your pony tail on your other shoulder, and I will have him removed. He’s giving me the creeps.”

In her caption, Trinity praised Max for stepping in in a subtle way, and for subsequently taking action.

“This man was harassing me and my friend and the bartender passed this note to me acting like it was my receipt!

“Legit the type of bartender everyone needs.”

She continued: “He ended up having to literally yell at the guy. He said ‘you need to get tf away from these girls who clearly are not interested.'”

Trinity added that the man harassing them responded by saying, “That was a little aggressive”.

According to Trinity, the bartender pointed out that the man was “aggressively hitting” on them before telling him to leave.

She later clarified that she asked Max to pose with the note after the man left so that she could share her “appreciation”.

The bartender himself responded to the thread and revealed that the man returned, but he refused to serve him.

In the replies, many praised Max for his quick thinking.

“Not all heroes wear capes,” one person wrote. “Some wear Hawaiian shirts.”

When the story appeared on the forum Reddit, Max explained that when he noticed the man hitting on the women, he “kept an eye on him”, and tried to “give him a chance.”

However, when the man kept pestering the women after they said no, he stepped in.

“I just don’t need my guests feeling uncomfortable,” he wrote.
