If you thought yesterday’s winds were bad, you might want to batten down the hatches because more stormy conditions are on the way!
The Irish Daily Star reports that Met Eireann warned motorists to take extra care over the coming days as heavy rain and blustry gales are set to batter the nation. The weather watchdog also advised people to take care if they are near the sea or live in a costal area.
Yesterday was pretty rough in terms of weather and while most of us were hoping that the winds would die down, we could be in for another gusty day today.
Today will see more rain and strong winds sweeping the country and the addition of high tides around the coast will bring a renewed risk of flooding. Met Eireann have said that southerly winds could reach speeds of up to 120kkmh this morning.

Met Eireann is warning motorists to take care as flooding may occur
“The rain will clear to showers for Tuesday night, but it’ll stay very blustery with the showers most frequent in the west,” said a spokesperson for Met Eireann.
More wind and rain is forecast for Thursday and Friday and while we hate to ruin your hopes for a nice, dry weekend, more rain is expected for Saturday and Sunday.
We don’t know about you but we think tonight will definitely be a night for the fire...
