There’s nothing worse than a guilty conscience and this thief was so racked with guilt after she “borrowed” a bike from someone that she just had to make amends.
The owner of the stolen bike took to image sharing website Reddit.com and posted a picture of the apology that they received from the thief when their bike was returned. Check it out:

Here’s what it says just in case you’re struggling to read it:
“Dear Bike Owner,
On Saturday April 20 I graduated from university and got straight white girl wasted. After the bar it was too late to catch a bus, and I am too broke to afford a cab, so I borrowed your bike without asking. It was a lusciously smooth ride from what I remember.
Anyways I am very sorryI did not ask to borrow your bike, so I have returned it with a coupon for a free lava cake at Domino’s as an apology.
Cheers,
Bike Theif [sic].”
So did the owner of the bike accept the heartfelt apology?
“Three nights ago my bike was stolen. It just turned up back in my yard this morning with this note... ain’t even mad,” wrote the owner on Reddit.
They got their bike back, an apology and a coupon for a free dessert. We love a story with a happy ending!
