None other than Justin Bieber has been announced as the latest celebrity to land a cameo role on ‘The Simpsons’.
The 18-year-old will make a short appearance on an upcoming episode of the hit, yellow-peopled cartoon called ‘The Fabulous Baker Boy’ as a talent show hopeful who fails to meet the cut.
The show’s executive producer, Al Jean, told Entertainment Weekly; “He tries to get into a talent show that Bart is playing piano in and they won't admit him. Draw your own conclusions.
“It's a cameo. But all of his fans should watch every minute of the show, before and after he's on.”
The ‘Boyfriend’ singer is excited about his debut cartoon appearance and shared the news with his fans on Twitter, writing; “Just did a voice over for the SIMPSONS!!! #swaggy”.
The star deleted the tweet several minutes later, maybe he wasn’t meant to ruin the surprise…?
It seems the teen idol's wish has been granted after Bieber has expressed his desire to break into the acting world.
The pop star recently said: “I hope to do some more acting. I have only done a few things like 'CSI', but I really want to do some more acting."
Bieber has briefly appeared as an alien in 'Men In Black 3' and will play the lead in Mark Wahlberg's upcoming basketball movie.
Bieber's ‘Simpsons’ episode will air in 2013 as part of the long-running show's 24th season.
