Bow Wow Stylista: How One Dog Became Famous Overnight

David Fung and Yena Kim were an average New York couple, until their dog hit headlines.

He's a graphic artist and she's a women's fashion designer. Their three-year-old shiba inu is called Bodhi.

Bodhi was enjoying city life as an average dog, walks through the park etc, until one Saturday afternoon in January, Fung and Kim decided to dress him up.

"We thought we'd combine our skills on a quick project. It wasn't even that elaborate, really, we were just bored," Fung told Mashable.com.

Just for the craic, the two dressed Bodhi in one of Fung's shawl collar cardigans. It was meant to be just fun, but something about Bodhi screamed chic.

"We took a few photos and put them on Facebook. The whole idea was to have it be this 'Menswear Dog' fashion blog thing," he said.

"The response was absolutely crazy. A lot of friends were like, 'Are you doing this?' — so we looked at each other and thought, 'Should we do this?'"

And so a star was born...
