What would you do if a member of your wedding party made a drastic change to their appearance shortly before the big day?

An upset bride has shared her story online in the hope of getting some sympathy for her dilemma.

Her wedding is next weekend, she explained, and one of her bridesmaids has just dyed her hair “a horrible pink colour,” she wrote on Mumsnet.

The bride thinks that her bridesmaid simply wants to steal focus on the day.

“Am I being unreasonable to ask her to dye it back or uninvite her from the wedding?.”

“For context she is incredibly self-centered and always wants the attention to be focused on herself and I think she has done it just to stick out in the photos.”

Users on the forum were divided, with some believing the bridesmaid was indeed out for attention.

“It seems unreasonable to ask her to dye her hair but at the same time if she did it on purpose its unreasonable of her to think she can be so darn right up herself!”

“I think any bridesmaid that dyes their hair bright pink a week before the wedding is an attention-seeking sick. Everyone will know it too.”

“I’m kind of torn, I mean it really wouldn’t bother me at all but the timing of dying her hair an odd colour does seem calculated as well.”

But plenty of those who weighed in took the bridesmaid’s side, with some questioning why the woman even asked the girl to be her bridesmaid.

“No of course you can’t ask/tell her to dye it back, or dis-invite her. You surely wouldn’t have asked someone other than a friend or relative to be your bridesmaid – you wanted her there.”

“I think pink is a lovely hair colour. If you are that pathetic to worry about your bridesmaid hair colour then get rid of her as a bridesmaid else deal with it! Simple!”

“If you already knew that about her and you think her hair is about standing out, why did you ask her to be bridesmaid?
From the sounds of it, you would have been expecting something like this.”
