On hearing the news, a number of consumers took to the social media site to lament the loss of the treats.
Billie Myers said: “What is the point of anything if there are no longer going to be Cadbury’s Chocolate coins… :(”.
Another tweeted “Christmas cancelled” while someone else wrote: “Cadburys have stopped making chocolate coins?? Day. Ruined.”
As yet, there has been no such confirmation on Cadbury Ireland’s Twitter feed so we can only hope that the old chocolate Euro coins will keep coming for another while.
