You can rent a pirate ship for €270 a night on Airbnb because why not

Keeley Ryan

Airbnb has plenty of great options.

You can rent everything from islands in the Caribbean to celebrity wedding venues; famous movie homes to treehouses with llama and alpaca farms.

But we reckon we have found our favourite listing yet.

You can now rent a ‘pirate’ ship on the Mississippi River from Airbnb for just €270 a night – and no, we’re not joking.

The unique rental is 65-foot long, with two berths, two heads and a hammock available for sleeping options.

The ship is located just a few minutes from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Guests board via a gangplank, and can explore all of the hidden nooks and crannies – or even throw a wild pirate-themed bash.

You can explore the ship for treasures that the crew left behind, or rent some paddle boards or kayaks.

But there is also a number of more modern amenities, like central air conditioning, WiFi and a DVD player.

The ship currently has bookings available until early 2020, although judging by the previous guests’ feedback we reckon it will book out soon.

One person said:

“Everything is in the details. From the novelty of being on a ginormous pirate ship, to the crew that abandoned it leaving all of their treasures, unique library, jewelry and clothing. Captain Dan, along with his Wench were fantastic at making sure we were transported into the adventure we were looking for.”

Someone else wrote:

“Not only was the ship even more badass than expected, the hosts were laid back and cool as were the neighbors. It was an amazing way to welcome an old friend home and make him walk the plank to his watery grave.”

Another added:

“A fun escape! Outstanding ship with no detail overlooked. A great experience. We all want to be pirates after our stay. You won’t be disappointed.”
