Vanity Fair have received backlash after posting a photo to Twitter this week.
The publication posted a link to an article titled ‘Why Late-Night Television is Better Than Ever’ alongside an image of the “titans”of US late night TV.

However, it wasn’t long before the backlash started rolling in as users noticed something very important missing from the picture – women.
David Kamp, the author of the article referred to the lack of a female presence within the piece.
He wrote: “What’s conspicuously missing from late-night, still, is women. ‘How gobsmackingly insane is it that no TV network has had the common sense — and that’s all we’re talking about in 2015, not courage, bravery, or even decency — to hand over the reins of an existing late-night comedy program to a female person?”
It seems Twitter was in agreement, as users took to the social media site in their droves to complain about the photo.

I can’t quite figure out why Samantha Bee, who has an upcoming show (like Trevor Noah) on TBS (like Conan), isn’t in that Vanity Fair pic. — Kevin O’Keeffe (@kevinpokeeffe) September 14, 2015

@VanityFair it’s great to see so much diversity. It’s inspiring that so many different white men get a chance to be represented for once! — Becca MacDonald (@BeccaMacDonald8) September 14, 2015
