Chinese Couple Spent Months Piecing Over €19,000 In Banknotes Back Together

Absolute TREK.

Ellen Tannam

Have you ever accidentally ripped a tenner in half? Very annoying right?

Well imagine having to piece back over €19,000 worth of banknotes that had been ripped into hundreds of tiny slivers.

This living nightmare happened to a couple in China, according to Mashable. The man, known only as Chen suggested his father deposit money into the bank after selling his house.

It seemed his dad didn’t take kindly to his son’s suggestion and proceeded to tear up over 1,000 banknotes into tiny pieces, as he was paranoid his son was after his money.

The couple then spent 17 hours a day trying to piece together the destroyed cash which took over three months to complete.

Thankfully, some of the money was left intact, and the entire sum is safely stored in the bank. What an absolute sickener.
