Exams are tough and there's always one or two tricky questions...
Geography was never our strong point at school. Now don’t get us wrong, we knew all the counties, where they were situated and each main town, but when it came to emigration and reasons for leaving said counties, that was a little more difficult.
According to this next student there is a reason other than lack of jobs and travelling opportunities that has people fleeing our beautiful country. The answer has 8 legs and begins with ‘s’.
When a teacher was correcting some Junior Cert level Geography exam papers they found themselves so amused at an answer they felt it deserved a quick picture.
The question asked the pupils to: Explain two reasons why people are now emigrating (moving out) of Ireland in large numbers.
The answer may very well be our favourite answer ever, it reads as follows: There are new spiders in Ireland because of climate change and the spiders bite the people.

After recent images from across the country, that answer deserves half a mark.
A huge thank you to Her.ie reader Karen Moore for sending this one our way via Facebook.
