"She has been breastfeeding for 6 months since the baby was born and now wants to switch to formula. She makes plenty of milk and everything she just says she 'feels done.' "I think if she wants to stop for basically no reason then the money for formula should come out of her personal spending money because she is the one making that decision. "She says I’m an asshole and it should come from the family/ grocery budget (which is already tight) even though I don’t have a say."Needless to say, there was zero sympathy for him from social media users. "She can’t keep breastfeeding indefinitely. She’s most likely sore and in pain. Is the food for the baby once it’s on solid food also going to come from her spending or from the family groceries?"Someone wrote:
"Breastfeeding is hard work and exhausting and so many women struggle with it, and she's already been doing this for six months! ITS ALSO YOUR BABY. Are you going to make baby food and all the children's snacks come from your wife's budget as well? "Women get so much pressure over breastfeeding for health reasons and for the baby's immune system etc., Your rationale for making you wife breastfeed for budgeting reasons makes you extra asshole."Another person commented:
"It's your kid too. If she feels she's done breastfeeding, then just accept you're now adding formula to your budget."
