During the cooler months of spring, most families have the heating on full blast and wander around their homes in t-shirts. Instead of being one of these families, dig out your jumper.

Turn down your heating thermostat by just one degree and wear a jumper or cardigan around your home. Your house will be slightly cooler but if you’re wearing your favourite fleecy jumper, chances are you won’t even notice it.

Oh and with this simple move, you could shave a whopping 10 per cent off your heating bill. Not bad, right?
