Save money and do some good for the world around you by using simple measures to conserve energy in the home. If you’re not sure where to start – don’t worry! We’ll be bringing you one great energy-saving tip every day for the next few weeks.
Think About The Benefits of Saving Energy
It’s important to keep in mind just how much money you’re spending every time you use electrical appliances in your life.
Making simple changes to these appliances could mean the difference between struggling to pay your next electricity bill or comfortably affording it (and maybe even having enough money left over for a personal treat at the end of the month!).
Consider this example: energy-saving lightbulbs can knock a whopping €70 off your electricity bill every single year. These lightbulbs last longer than normal lightbulbs, meaning you won’t have to spend money replacing them every few months. They also use around 80 per cent less energy meaning that your bill won’t be through the roof.
Just think about this: for every single normal lightbulb in your home that you switch to an energy-saving bulb, you could save €140 each. Now how many lightbulbs do you have in your house? Do the calculations if you’re in need of some energy-conserving motivation.
