Dallas is definitely back with a bang as viewing figures suggest it hasn’t lost its ability to grab the attention of viewers.
According to reports this morning, the reboot of the hit television show brought in almost 850,000 viewers on Monday night.
Those who tuned in may have recognised a few familiar faces in the forms of JR (Larry Hagman), Bobby (Patrick Duffy) and Sue Ellen (Linda Gray).

Patrick, Linda and Larry all starred in the original television series.
But it wasn’t all the same. There were a few new faces in there too, most notably in the form of former Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe who plays Bobby’s adopted son.
It’s been a while since the original award-winning series ended. In fact it’s been over 20 years but still Dallas seems to have an appeal, albeit with the help of a few young and very attractive actors.

As TV3 spokeswoman Maureen Catterson told The Sun newspaper, ‘Irish people are still fascinated by what’s going on in Dallas.’
