Turns out we've been applying it wrong all along.

If you apply your deodorant religiously but still find your armpits getting a bit moist throughout the day, this simple tip could save you a lot of heartache.

It turns out it may not be a problem with your deodorant brand, but the time of day you apply your product.

Most of us apply anti-perspirant the minute we get out of the shower.

However, according to new research published in The Verge, this is a common mistake and you should, in fact, apply your deo the night before for best results.

This is because antiperspirant works by clogging up the sweat glands in your armpits, and applying the night before gives it more time to soak in and get to work before you go about your day.

Even if a little residue washes off in the shower in the morning, the antiperspirant will already have taken effect.

The problem with applying in the morning is that apparently, you will have already started sweating and the antiperspirant can’t quite reach down into the ducts.

If you give this new method a go, make sure you let us know how you get on!
