It's been a while since Facebook issued its latest changes on the site... but the development team haven't left the building just yet.
The new hashtag feature began its roll-out on Facebook yesterday and should be making its way to you soon, very soon.
The social network said its aim is to make it easier for users to find content already on Facebook, Mashable reports.
Zuckerberg and the gang believe functional hashtags are the way to do it.
Now you will be able to click on and search hashtags on your Facebook's newsfeed.

The hashtag was first used in the way we know it today by Chris Messina in 2007.
Since then Flickr, Tumblr, Google+ and Facebook-owned Instagram have made it a part of their site. And now here comes Facebook...
This meme is somewhat irrelevant now...
