No we’re not talking about your other half, we’re talking about your pet pooch!
Did you know that your dog could improve your love life? We had no idea either until we came across a new study which states that one in four dog owners have met dates while they were out walking their canines. (If that isn’t an incentive to start taking Fido for his evening stroll we don’t know what is!).
It’s also interesting to note that 40 per cent of people who own a dog said that they would think twice about their potential partners if their dogs didn’t get along with them. It’s long been said that dogs are fantastic judges of character, so we can see why the study came back with this result.

"More dogs equals more dates, right?"
As well as sniffing out bad matches and attracting potential dates, dogs are also pretty great at helping you to socialise. A third of the dog owners who were questioned as part of the study also revealed that they had made new friends through their pet.
So it looks like owning a dog can help you with everything from making friends to getting some exercise and even bagging a date with a hottie. Is there anything that they can’t do?
Maybe it’s time we found ourselves a four-legged friend to help us score instead?
