We're sending off our CV!

Una Kavanagh

Love animals? Love pandas? This is the ultimate job for you!

The Giant Panda Protection and Research Center in China is on the hunt for a specialised panda “nanny”.

China’s Xinhua News Agency says that the centre in the Sichuan province is recruiting people to act as carers for adorable panda cubs.

Caretakers must be over 22-years-old and have basic knowledge of pandas and despite its location the ability to speak Chinese is not a requirement. Good writing skills and photography skills are also a plus.

The centre will be offering an annual salary of 200,000 yuan (roughly €23,000), an SUV for transport and free meals plus accommodation.

Most of the volunteers at the centre come from all corners of the globe including Europe and the US.

So far 100,000 applications have been received and recruitment will continue until mid-July.

To apply all you need to do is log onto the website here and submit your details (due to popularity, the website may crash!)

There are fewer than 2,000 giant pandas in the world.
