If you watched the X Factor last night you would have seen Melanie McCabe from Dublin make it through to the next round of the competition.
The 18 year old who was put out by Kelly Rowland at the judges’ houses stage last year came back with an almighty bang.

Melanie made it through to the judges' houses last year.
Singing Simon and Garfunkel’s ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, Melanie wowed the panel and earned four yeses.
Speaking of her X Factor experience on the show she said: ‘When you get a knock-back it pushes you and makes you stronger.’ Well she certainly proved that!
Other standout performances from last night’s show included the incredibly nervous Chris Maloney who sang a Bette Midler song dedicated to his grandparents, and Jason Viet Tien who sang Whitney Houston’s ‘I Have Nothing’ especially for Tulisa, or should we say ‘Tulisha’ as he called her!

Chris Maloney just about held his nerve to deliver an incredible performance.

Love-struck Jason presented Tulisa with a rose and got a kiss in return.
For those of you who are still tuning into the show, it’s back on tonight at 8pm.
