Ed Sheeran broke a major rule when accepting his MBE

Whoops!

Ed Sheeran was honoured with an MBE, for services to music and charity, at Buckingham Palace yesterday. While he stuck to the tradition of wearing a morning suit and paid his respect to the royal family, he accidentally broke a major royal protocol. Royal experts have noted that when being given the badge, by Prince Charles, he shuck his hand and also touched his arm. One must never touch a royal's arm. This is a major no-no. Poor Ed looks blissfully unaware of his actions.

On the other hand, pardon the pun, Prince Charles doesn't look too bothered and we're sure Clarence House wouldn't be sharing a photo if the old tradition still meant something.
