Electric Ireland customers have been warned to take care with any email correspondence pertaining to be from the company.
Brought to our attention by our JOE bros, phishing emails have been doing the rounds from the address '[email protected]'.
Do not give any personal details and if you have been caught by the scam already, it is recommended that you instantly change your password.
The fake emails are said to make reference to bills, claim you can get money back and even bring the customer to a website that looks similar to the Electric Ireland homepage.
Above all, be vigilant.
