Since it was revealed that raunchy novel 50 Shades of Grey was going to be made into a film, gossip has been rife as to who will play the two main characters Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.
Every young actress from the Gilmore Girls’ Alexis Bledel to Kristen Stewart from Twilight has been tipped for the role.
Harry Potter star Emma Watson was also in the frame until she announced that she wasn’t interested in the part earlier this summer.
But oh how the tides have turned since then. It seems, as if by a wave of a magic wand, that the 22 year old has drastically changed her mind about taking the role.
And no it’s not that she’s read the book and found it riveting or the likelihood that she would make thousands playing the role, it’s the fact that Ryan Gosling may play her onscreen lover.

Ryan Gosling is the favourite to play the role of Christian Grey.
According to rumours today Emma’s co-star Nina Dobrev has revealed that her friend is interested in the role but only if The Notebook actor plays Christian.
American television host Ryan Seacrest tweeted out a similar statement backing up Nina’s claims. It read: “@EmWatson told me that she’d be more interested in playing Ana in the ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ movie if Ryan Gosling were to be Christian.”

Nina and Emma appear in The Perks of Being a Wallflower together.
Not that we don't believe the claims. Hell, if Ryan does take the role we’ll be the first in line to put our names forward for the part of Anastasia!
