Ever Wanted To Design A Gift Card? Now You Can!

Great prizes up for grabs too.

Laura Holland

If you ever wanted to design a gift card, now is your chance.

One4All have just launched their competition ‘Design a Gift Card’ which gives you the opportunity to have your design on one of their gift cards. Not only that you could also win a MacBook Pro.

Five runners-up will also receive a €100 One4all Gift Card each and their designs will also be sold online.

The theme of this year’s competition is ‘Happy Gifting’. They are looking for designs that ‘encapsulate the feeling of happiness’. Participants are asked to submit their design along with a 2-page report detailing the inspiration behind their design.

Last year’s winner was Jacek Murzyn, a Visual Communications student at Limerick Institute of Art and Design. His ‘Love Birds’ design was chosen from over 120 entries and was inspired by old Japanese culture and origami art.

The panel of judges consist of fashion designer Helen Steele, fashion illustrator Holly Shortall, CEO of Tweak.com Jerry Kennelly and Aoife Davey, Group Marketing Manager at One4all.

Judge Holly Shortall said: “I think it’s great that an Irish company is giving creative talents access to their retail network. This presents a great opportunity for the successful candidate so I urge all designers to get involved and wish all entrants the very best of luck”.
Here are some pointers for the marking scheme.
