Facebook have been quietly trialling the largest change to hit our news feeds ever.
According to Mashable, the social networking giant is testing a new format of news feed, with the layout organised into multiple news sections like World News, Sport and Food.
The classic news feed filled with pictures of your friends from school and their babies may be a thing of the past.
Facebook has confirmed it is testing the new layout, but it’s unclear if the feature will ever be launched officially.
“People have told us they’d like options to see more stories on Facebook around specific topics they’re interested in.So we have been testing a few feeds for people to view more and different stories from people and Pages based on topic areas.”
It seems that Zuckerberg and co are going to be separating making the News feed into something similar to Twitter, while they hope that users will come to the site for news updates.
