Looking for an upcoming day out with the family? Flavours of Fingal might be it.
The fun country show will be taking place again this year on the 28th and 29th of June in Newbridge House and Farm, Donabate, and plans to be an ideal family-friendly event.
Now in its third year, the show is to embrace everything that’s traditional about a county show, combining various livestock, equestrian and poultry competitions with the best of locally produced food and more.
There will also be a chance for the family to meet farm animals up close, with spectators experiencing the sheepdog trials, geese herding and try their hand at sheep shearing.
Apart from the live-animals, the County Show plans on celebrating the best of food produce from the Fingal area with an artisan food market, featuring local delights like Keelings and Keogh’s. The festival programme will also feature walks, talks, fair ground, bouncy castle and live entertainment.
Tickets cost €10 for one-day adult admission including two kids for free and €7.50 for concession entry. Parking is free and area is also well equipped with facilities for the disabled. More information can be found on their website here.
