These days we're all a bit more environmentally conscious and recycling has become second nature (we hope!), but if you feel like going the extra environmental mile this spring, One Million Trees In One Day could be the solution.
Climate change is something that will affect all of us in the future - hello Blizzard like conditions yesterday - and the Dublin-based charity is aiming help change our future now, by planting one million trees in one day. The trees will be planted in various locations north and south of the border in 24 hours, from noon on the 26th of April until noon on the 27th, so naturally they need a bit of help.
So, what can you do to help? If you'd like to donate, there's no minimum amount required so even a few cents will suffice or a simple text donation will cost €3.
Or, if you really want to get involved, why not volunteer to plant a tree on the big day? From helping deliver supplies to building fences, to doing a bit of digging, you can help in so many ways.
It's a big challege but something that will stand the test of time.
