Five Musicals You Wish You Had Starred In…

It's time to grab those dancing shoes...

Her

Whether it’s years of watching the Billie Barry kids on the The Late Late Show or having a secret pining to take the lead opposite a male who can sing, we’ve all had the pangs of jealousy hit when we’re watching a musical.

We know you can’t always get what you want, but there’s been a few times we wanted to trade places for a box-step trip down musical theatre way…

Like feeling pretty as a Pink Lady

We always had a soft spot for Danny and Sandy, and as for being a pink lady, we know we could work those full skirts. It’s the One That We Want to have starred in, and we know all the dance breaks to prove it. If musical Gods could turn back time, we’d be running to Rydell High.

We want to be in America…

Or more specifically take a starring role in Westside Story. Swishing skirts, clicking fingers in time or even better a samba dance-off? We clearly could’ve rocked the stage as Maria. We feel pretty, oh so pretty…

Remember my name…

Whether you’re having a hot lunch jam, or you’re all about being out there on your own, there was a reason we all wanted to attend a New York performing arts school.  We could definitely deal with the teenage angst if we got to go on stage and belt out a classic to a baby grand piano. And who doesn’t want to be remembered for a killer dance tune?!

The circle of life…

No musical list could be complete without a trip down Disney lane. Whether you want to sing away your worries, or take your place under the stars, we wouldn’t mind donning some fur to take on the African tale. We could definitely feel the love tonight if we got to sing with a king…

He had it coming…

Everyone knows you don’t mess with a woman scorned. Give us an entire fleet of deadly women with incredible singing voices and well we know we’d have fun singing behind bars. We think Chicago could take another lady for the cell block tango. Even if it’s just to satisfy a guilt(y) pleasure!
