Day starred in a total of 39 films over her career, earning her the position as the highest rank box-office star for four years in the early 60s. The movie starlet also released 31 albums in her time and received the prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
The actress, who celebrated her 90th birthday in April, is arguably best known for her role as the title character in the comedic western-themed musical, Calamity Jane, for which 'Secret Love' received the Academy Award for Best Original Song.
In Alfred Hitchcock's 1956 suspense film, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Day sang only two songs in the film, "Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)", which also won an Academy Award for Best Original Song. In the opening credits of The Doris Day Show the blonde beauty gave viewers a snippet of that same track.
