Flight attendants spill the secrets they never tell passengers

Prepare to never fly again...

Rebecca Keane

Flying is never really an enjoyable experience.

While I personally don’t have a fear of flying, I can see why some people may not enjoy the ritual of travelling.

Before you even board the plane there are so many things to think of – packing your stuff up, double checking you have your passport and making sure your hand luggage has all the stuff you’re going to need for the next few hours – all that on top of rushing to the boarding gate and getting on the damn plane.

Earlier this year we had one ex-air hostess advise passengers on the things you absolutely shouldn’t do on a plane which both disgusted and enlightened us.

Well according to Quorathree flight attendants have given away even more secrets about flying and the things passengers should keep in mind when taking a flight.

According to these ladies, there are a few tips to keep in mind to get the best flying experience.

Morning flights are better than ones later in the day

In the morning, there are less chances of thunderstorms and the air tends to be less bumpy. So if you’re really afraid of flying – your best bet is to book as early as possible!

Don’t be afraid of lightning

Planes getting hit by lightning are actually more common than you think, but that said the construction of an aircraft has been created to endure any stress or damage that lightning would inflict.

Try your hardest not to eat the food in flight

All the food held on a flight has been heated up from frozen. That sandwich or meal you’re about to tuck into has reportedly been in storage for up to 72 hours… YUM.

Air sickness medicine doesn’t work

Taking air sickness medicine in flight won’t relax you, it’s advised to take it beforehand.

Most accidents happen during takeoff and landing

It’s not the air staff’s fault that they have to wake you from your slumber, that’s why a cabin walk through is absolutely necessary.

Aircrafts are very seldom cleaned

According to these ladies, cleaning staff are often rushed off the plane when it lands so boarding can begin which means seats and tray tables are not always the cleanest.
